WHOHO!

So what's new in Sonar 3, then?
Dunno. But I saw a post from Craig Anderton (a musician who has been featured on the Cakewalk site) in which he claimed to have a beta copy. He stated he was not able to discuss the program, but indicated it had some pretty major changes.

The one I am looking for is a Master Bus where the VMains can be summed.

I'd like to see a scroll-able effects rack for plug ins so settings could be changed without having to open bulky windows.Laid out kind of like revalver or a standard rack and size-able.
It would also be neat to save a multieffect as a preset as a timesaver/starting point for basic tracks.
Built in CD burning would be nice,if it were set up first class.
I'm thinking surround might be part ot the new package.

Better reverb/better amp simulations.......software has not caught up to hardware in this area.

You mean Bus Master ? I thought he lives somewhere in Perth...

:D

I heard that it will have unlimited buss routing. Meaning you can build sub mixes and route them into additional submixes. Very cool.

I am not sure it is being released but just announced at the show. Might be some time after that it is actually shipped.

they need to implement some good stock plugs for once...at least a real good reverb with some sick implulses

.....word is they may have bought up the Ultrafunk suite.

A very nice addition if it's true. :)

Please Don't Tease
:D :D

Ok, I'll pass along a little story here. I actually made an offer for the Ultrafunk suite. I was going to put together some funding here in the US and try and purchase the product.

At the time, the owner told me that they had already closed the deal with a large company and it would be announced soon. That was several months back so, if the Ultrafunk products show up in S3 it would be an incredible thing. This would also indicate the strength of these plug ins.

I think they were the best value in the industry when they were available. I have had long time engineers, some who have worked on many top artists albumns, comment on the lush reverbs and smooth compression in my tracks. All done with Ultrafunk products.

I hope the rumour is true, I need an upgrade on my Ultrafunk suite.

I hope it comes with a "grid function" for precise editing; oh and a spectrum analyzer on each track would be awesome to be able to see.

Carlos

i hope that the bus routing and ultrafunk is all true.

i'd love to be able to put all my back vocals into a submix, and compress them as a unit without having 2 do the mixdown thing or having 2 vmains.

i really like the ultrafunk stuff, but i didn't get a chance to purchase R3 before they went under.

these are the plugins i use the mot
DSP-FX: delay, Acoustiverb (occasionally)
Ultrafunk: EQ, Compressor, Wah
Waves: reverb, multi-tap delay, full mix limiter, full mix compressor (C4)

the ultrafunk compressor has a built in look-ahead peak limiter. pretty um... suite.

That sounds real good...timeworks and ultra funk...they def stepped it up...but as for a reverb i was thinking of something like the room simulator in samplitude or acoustic mirror...you know CPU hogs! where one instance bogs your computer down...

Sonar 3 Better have track freeze!!!

I thought that Cakewalks upgrade prices was always in the range from $170 to $190. I've been jeaoulus for a loong time. ;)

Hey Moskus, apparently, anyone found using console view will have to pay full price:D

You mean Nowegian tax exiles like you don't have to care about price?:p
