I've just started recording on Cubasis (audio mainly via an audigy soundcard) and it was all going fine until last night. Now i'm not a very technical person so you might have to bear with me here, but I got an error message when tried to boot the programme telling me it was missing a file and i should reinstall it. Not seeing another way round it (i'd tried rebooting the machine a couple of times and it still happened) I uninstalled, and then reinstalled the programme. Everything seemed fine until I tried replaying a track I'd recorded and it jumped, skipped and finally fed back on itself, even after i'd closed Cubasis down (The track had been recorded on the fouled version on Cubasis). Restarting my machine was the only way to stop the horrible squealling feedback. Having rebooted the machine I tried playing the demo song, but the same thing happened. Has something terrible happened to my sound card/ harddrive? Any suggestions?
I've resigned myself to losing the track that was recorded on the old version, but am i now doomed?? I'd really appreciate any help at all. cheers
