I finally got some time to sit down today at home and record some vocals to this song, it's call Sleepless.

I'm no longer using the Waves stuff for inserts and such. I've gone back to using Voxengo and Kjaerhus plugs instead. Also, things are mixed a bit different than I usually do. I did a back to the drawing board thing pretty much. Anyway, let me know what you think.

that sounds pretty good. a little flat on the high notes. did you use an effect for the doubled part? try just doing a second take and you'll get a fuller 80s metallica style vocal.

your voice sounds good in parts but other parts you're getting a little worn out. how many cuts did you do? this is excellent for a live take but if you want the ballsy metal vocal sound you're gonna have to sing a line or two at a time, cut it, and do the next.

"every niiight" ->> you let your pitch hang here. it may be a stylistic thing here but it never really works. try retracking that too.

other than that nitpicking, you are in the right directino. everything is nice and clear. kinda southern rock in parts too, haha!
