something about pro tools is weird

it seems that everytime i record with protools my mixer are soo much softer. other compressors in other programs usually do the job but every body always talk about how good the compressor is in protools ...i was just wondering.
is there a certain way to mix in pro tools to get it loud?
how do ya'll go on after you track? (using the stock plugins that is) ( i also have masseys compressor)

too quiet? find the volume knob....turn it up.

sounds loud as hell to me. Of course I can't download it and check levels or anything.

remember...loud doesn't equal "good"
