I don't hear anything wrong that I could help you with in the mix, you definately have a lyrical hook with If I Could Feel, but that I could kill all of you line has to go.

Cry is definately the most interesting song of the two. I like the mood it sets. Nice.

I listened to "If I Could Feel" and "Cry".
If I could Feel is a very nice tune. I like the space around the drums but there's something about the other instruments and vocal. The mix levels seem right but the vocal and guitar just don't "sit" and have good dimension to them, ya know what I mean? Maybe more compression on the vocal and the clean rhythm guitar.
Cry, on the other hand sounds like a very good, fininshed mix. Cleaver, likeable tune, well played, recorded and mixed.
What the hell, I'm now listening to "Head". Good tune but I don't care for the drum sound on this one (actually, the cymbals sound very canned). Well played though.

thanks all of you for your comments :)

track rat - i know exactly what you mean about the vocal and guitar not "sitting" right. i guess i need to try some compression on them but these songs are recorded on a vs840ex and the onboard compressor sounds really bad to my ears.also not sure what you meaned by "canned".... fake? this drum track(head) came from a friends sr16

Yeah, I mean the cymbals have that drum machine sound. I have a SR-16 too and I can't stand the cymbals in that thing. Again, I dig the tunes.

Listened to Cry.

Very nice arrangement, recording, and playing. Kind of a Santana sound on the lead guitar. Real good song.

The only things I might offer is the delay on the lead vocals is a bit too long in my opinion. The stops make the song interesting, but they might be overdone just a bit.

I liked it quite a bit.

thanks for all the suggestions

its good to get some opinions from the outside world
