Okay...listening to "Bleed." HUUUUUUUUUUUGE noise on the track - was that intentional? Losing the vocal completely...losing her...losing...

...her...

I can tell she can sing. Okay, I think I'm missing something here, because this mix has all kinds of "problems" that may be intentional. The crashes are about 20X louder than they should be.

VOCAL is way buried.

Okay...I'm gonna' listen to more in a few. Hope you don't think I'm an ass. I can tell the tune has emotion and great feel, but there are some "issues" that I can't help you with.

YOU SHOULD GO!

"You Should Go" is much better, in my opinion. Her vocal still needs to come up. Others can help more.

Thanks Chris....thats odd...on both my fairly decent computer speakers and monitor speakers...as well as car stereo the vocals for bleed are right out front. If you play it with a leveled out flat eq....is it still bad for you? out of curiosity..what kind of speakers do you have? Regardless....a good mix should sound good on all kinds of speakers...its so hard to do!!!!!!
 
Hey man, I'm no help, I know...but I do listen to everything on this BBS with a flat EQ. One thing I noticed is that both the tunes seem to have had the mids ripped out somewhere. I originally listened on headphones, but then listened with the full system (which I'm almost used to), and I still think the vox are way buried, especially on the first tune.

I have a little test to check vocals with...I try to make out each and every word, and I just turn them up until I can. Before you go changing anything, i'd wait for some more comments from smarter people with better ears than me.

if anyone wants....let me know what you think of the songs in general as well...people usually think there own stuff is ok...since they hear it over....and over...so it would be great to hear just some song feedback.
