this stuff is all pretty new(strange beutiful)to me:computers, internet ,web pages,links,typing,ect.so i just kinda wanted to see iff it worked(link to the free page i uploaded a couple songs to)befor i wasted any more of my precious time
as far as equip. its all pretty much live in my room recorded off a crappy p.a. mixer into the line in on the sound card of a pc(amdk6 nuthin fancy)one of the songs has some voc over dubb as well as a lead guitar dubb done with some free program i got off the net.

Well then you did pretty good toenail!
I really like the singer's voice especially. If you were to get a decent recording, you'd be doing really well! This lind of music needs to be polished, and people will come!

well it was all pretty much by gosh an by golly but i think what your refering to is inverting. I took a stereo mix and opened it in sound forge where theres a function called invert I dont really know how to explain it but the graphical representation of the waves actually invert that pluss some eq at various points allong the way

OK, now I understand. The mix did sound out of phase. I use a plugin from Waves called the Stereo Imager do something similar.

I dont really get the outta phase part the mix was cool.
but what i was wonderin was does that have anything to do with why the lo-fi streams of my mixes sound so crappy er,,uh..different then the mp3s ?
some lofi stuff ive heard sounds great why?
any advice?
does phase play into it?
stereo feild sepparation?
compression?
eq?
luck?
karma?
