Up above. I've noticed pics sometimes don't appear the first time you click on a thread. Just hit "refresh" and they should show up.lbanks said:WHere's the pics?

You'll notice the fake has a "ridge", a flat spot, a ridge, then the windscreen.
A 58 is flat then a ridge then the wind screen.

ah yes, because i got burned on a set of fake-ass 57's. fortunately i broke two of the three before i could actually try to record anything with them.

mshilarious said:I feel bad for Shure that they are getting counterfeited so bad, and so well . . . the fakes I've seen in the past were nowhere near that convincing. But until Shure tells us how to spot a fake, there is no way I would even consider purchasing one anywhere, especially since they are being so vigilant on eBay. I'm glad I sold all mine a year or two ago.

At least that is how it looks to me comparing.

pohaku said:You know, you wouldn't think it would be worthwhile to fake an SM58. Kind of like counterfeiting a $1 bill. Now a Neumann U87ai maybe -- but an SM58. Personally, if it was my mic, I'd want a better explanation. I'm used to having big companies lie to me or give me erroneous information in my business.
