Did you use stock images from the shure site or other retail sellers, or did you take your own pictures? I've heard of many shure listings being removed due to using their photography.

If that's the case, you have to be a little understanding considering the counterfeit Shure mics on ebay.

They were all my own photos. now i have to unwrap it all and take loads of other photos. im so pissed off.

That's pretty annoying alright. I wonder if they even bother to see if it's someone selling used or if they just hassle everyone that uses the word Shure.

Did you link to a website that was not yours? I had ebay pull an auction because the owner of a website was searching out ebay auctions to see if anyone was linking to his site, which sold the same mic, only new (mine was used). Funny thing is, I thought the site I linked to was a band site which had mp3 posted that showcased the same mic I was selling. I didn't know it was a link from a retailer. Hey, the way I look at it is I sent traffic to the dang site possibly sending business his way, but the owner must have a lot of time on his hands surfing ebay for his links.

I emailed shure a couple of times and managed to get them to tell me why my listing was reported or w/e. remember i bought this from an english shop and it is legit as it sounds like any other sm58 and looks etc..
This is what i got:

The sale in question was shut down because we determined that the product offered for sale was counterfeit. As we previously indicated, our experts are readily able to identify counterfeit products, despite their apparent similarity to genuine Shure products, based on (among other things) the details provided in eBay listings. Unfortunately, we are not able to disclose the specific details that led us to conclude the product was a counterfeit, since those are highly confidential and disclosing them might aid counterfeiters in their efforts.

this would all be fair enough IF IT WAS FUCKING COUNTERFEIT! Shoddy experts. I had two photos on the listing. i managed to recover them from my camera and i will attach them here:

Even though you cant see up close, am i right in thinking that that is fine?

Anyway i ended up relisting it tonight and if they delete it this time i am going to through the mic through their window :D

You might want to search for similar listed items and ask why they haven't been pulled? A quick search revealed quite a few finishing soon.

breeeeza, the H on all my zipper bags are a little different than yours.

This is not mine but a photo I found on the net.
This is how my bags look. It may be the angle of your bag but the space in the center of the H looks fatter on yours.

Sorry dude, but it looks like yours is a fake. Shure would be able to tell, and I can't imagine them shutting down auctions unless they are sure (no pun intended). :D

On closer look, the mic itself looks fake as well.

They should at least tell you how they can tell it was a Fake as Opposed to "Just takeing there word for it"....

You would Figure that they would need to provide some sort of Proof or they could close down every auction that has a Shure mic with the only excuse being "It looks Fake" without saying "Why" it looks fake.....

It is like a Doctor just takeing a Look at you and comeing to the conclusion that you have Cancer but not telling you why he thinks that and without doing any Tests or doing anything but look at you.....

I would just keep relisting it untill you sell it...and if shure comes at you again tell them to put up or Shut up (Meaning either tell you why they think it is a Fake or not do or say anything at all)...

Just My biased opinion....

Didi you read the thread? Shure explained why they are not telling him. They do not want better counterfeits.
