I have done some stuff in acid and been pretty happy with it in the program, only to render it and have that .wav be way off mix and distorted or too quiet...

I have tried to normalize in other programs and that helps, but i can't help but think i am missing something when i am exporting my work...

any advice would greatly appreciated! :) in the mean time i am gonna continue looking through the help file...

dude... my monitors are crap.

i am using a pair of old bose stereo speakers, or when it matters i use my headphones. My demos have been an exercise in 'what someone could do with very little money'

I'm just getting the pieces as i can afford them. Next i need a better preamp and mic for vocals. Trying to be creative and do production alone is very hard.

anyway, thanks a lot for the links :D

looks like i have something to do tommorow ...so next time i post a question i'll just post:

"dear mr SPINSTERWUN sir, what do you think i should do in this situation..." heh
I just hope i have helped someone on here... too bad there is no FLstudio section i would be able to help a lot with that...

thanks again !

thanks for the reminder blue bear... theres a name for that effect... how different frequencies stand out at different volumes.

I listen to my mix at different volumes and through as many systems as i can get to, but i use headphones a lot to get most of the stuff done since the amp i have for my speakers is getting crusty :(

ahem ... i mean monitors.. ;)
