Some Acid Techno

That band "Garbage" gets away with the abrasive, almost cold "digital" sound on purpose... and the guy in the band (Butch Vig) produced Nirvana's "Nevermind".

It's cool... unless you want to "warm it up" somehow...

Any analog-tape plug-ins? www.pspaudioware.com has a good one, IIRC.

This is really cool.
Timely too, I just finished watching some B movie about raves.

I got a bad download with netscapade, I`ll have to do it with "Bill's Browser" tommorow. Will you wait for me Honey? :)

Wow this was the last thing I expected to hear when opening a doc stawl MP3. But fuckshit I liked it! :D But is still wagging. Did you eben sample the guits? Dud you could have at least played those! Fun tune really. Reminded me of Fatbot Slim. Seriously I liked it, wouldn't change a thing! maybe you'll be the next Moby!:p

I think I got a crap download - it's muddy and distorted. Which is really disappointing because it sounds really interesting. I like the way it moves underneath all the muck. I tried two different sets of headphones. I have the crappiest with downloads off your page. :(

Doc I dont know what the deal is, but I can`t an uncorrupt dl in Netscrape or Billy`s Browser. I may have to wait till the next one. Dammit..

I just tested it in Nutscrape 7.0 and got the page no problem. Right Click the groundhog from the Planet X and "Save Target As..."

I just downloaded it again, and a thought occurred - maybe it's 'suppose' to sound like that. The mp3 I got has what sounds like a blanket of noise over top of the mix, so that none of the sounds are clear and distinct. Is that what you did? Is that what it is?

I think that's just your description of the same phenomenon that I labeled "abrasive". Not all of the samples used sounded that way- but many did. But there was no overall treatment applied to the tune in *blanket* fashion.

DOC!!!! YES!

This is a wonderful job of riding that fine line between "way out there doc stawl" and "easy enough for slackmaster to understand." It's fucking wicked!

I'm just listening at work on little phones...the distortion drives me nuts, I hate it. Otherwise it sounds pretty decent here. Lots going on...without a primary "thing", it's hard to say how it should or shouldn't be mixed. I'll have to listen at home tonite.

Slackmaster 2000

Not the style of music I would listen too, but it sounds very good. Nice one.

>Not the style of music I would listen too, but it sounds very good

Not the style of music I would normally write as several posters have pointed out. But I had fun using the Acid Tools and I wanted to share my sense of that.

My favorite thing about this is the groove--its incessant, man! Heavy. You are the Zeppelin of Acid techno! Oh! I like that horn section! Too cool!

Lets see...I resample sections of this, add vocals and guitar...I'm a cross between James Brown, Robert Plant and Hendrix!

Anyway, I enjoyed this a LOT!
