recently i have invested in a SOLDANO SL60. I got it for 915 bucks used, which is pretty good i think. i ebayed them and found some for 1,500-3,000 ! I also heard there was only 1,000 of them ever made?? Any additional info on that would be appreciated..
I am going through a mediocre, middle class marshall cab now. Do you think if i put up the money for an Orange cab, it would make all the difference in the world? there arent really any orange retailers around here so im trying to get opinions first. Anyone had experience with the combination? tried to do a search but found nothing dealing with both. I play dirty rock n roll. (www.purevolume.com/thevacancy)

thanks in advance

This is one of the tose questions that no one can answer for you.

But I do have a question for you...
Whats a middle class Marshall cab? Is it a ModeFour or a MG series or a 1960? (which 1960)

haha sorry for being vague. i was in class, in a hurry because i was doing something i wasnt supposed to be doing.

the cab is a marshall mg412
i was just asking if anybody had this combination and if their expectations had been filled or if they were disappointed, etc.

an orange cab would run me around 900-1,000$, and im not sure if it is worth it or not to take that leap..

Its not worth it if you can't play it first. But a Marshall 1960A or B with Celestions Vintage 30's should sound close to what the orange would sound like...I think Orange uses Vin30's, but I could be wrong. but even then, there are 3 or 4 types of speakers in the various 1960 cabs. Mesa uses a few types also if I recall.

I would suggest that if you are serious about dropping $1000 on a cab, that you get on the phone to shops in cities within driving distance and go try some out before buying.
