What recording software would be best to use. I would like pretty good sound quality and
unlimited tracks for about £150 max.
cheers :)

I'm not quite sure about all that discounted version and stuff

I went on the website about it, and when I went to purchase it gave me the option for the full version or the discounted version?

I suppose credit is due for actually looking it up,

"The evaluation version of REAPER is complete and uncrippled. There are no artificial interruptions or restrictions, and you can save and load projects normally. We believe in giving you a fair chance to make sure that REAPER works correctly with your hardware and suits your workflow."

but still.

Download it and try it out if you like the look of it.

What? The price of Reaper? You can't get a DAW of this quality for under $400. The developers just have a different set of values. The program is absolutely worthy.

By the way, I don't use it, I am a payer for the DAW that works for my brain, Cubase. I have played with Reaper, and it is just as capable. Especially at your budget, what you got to lose?
Or go get a cracked version of something and forever burn in eternal fire. :D

Seriously, check out Reaper. I've got thousands of dollars worth of recording software in my studio, but I needed to temporarily equip a laptop for remote sessions. It was a paying gig--but a once off, so I was trying to minimize costs and maximize profits. As such, I downloaded the free Reaper--and I was blown away! I gladly payed the "fee" to be a proud owner, and even that was a pittance. I wish I'd learned about Reaper sooner...

I'd gladly pay with eternal fire on Tuesday, than all body road rash today! Unless of course, neither is an option. :D

I am wondering if my sense of humor was misunderstood here?

Use cracked software, and burn in hell!!!! My opinion. Some seem to have misinterpreted my comment earlier. I, in no way would ever condone stealing.
