What programs include drum loop/sequencers like fruity loops? Fruity loops is the only one I have tried and the audio interface that I buy will be dependant on whether or not I need more software.

The interfaces I am looking into come with Cubase or Cakewalk--are those just for mixing and recording or can you also create drum beats??

If I am going to have to buy fruity loops or something besides cakewalk or cubase then I will just get the Line6 toneport and get fruity loops.

PLEASE HELP and thanks very much!!

Reason has a few different drum sequencers in there. Lots of different styles, etc. A nice programme to use in my opinion.

Cubase and Cakewalk are for recording/mixing your audio be it instruments, vocals or whatever. What i used to do, was create a small composition in Reason until i was finished with it ready for vox and whatever i wanted to add, and then transfer it across to Cubase where i could add these. Cubase/cakewalk can handle MIDI, so you can work with both of them together.

All depends on what your wanting to do - If your wanting to create, more electric/midi music, then Reason or Fruity loops is your answer. If your wanting to record bands/instruments/vocals, then you need to look at Cubase/Cakewalk or any other programmes out there (Without adding to your confusion :))

Hope that helped a little....

Good luck,

DONT FORGET that you can ADD programs like Fruity Loops to other sequencers
(either exporting the loops as .wav files OR running them at the same time using "ReWire".)

Programs can work TOGETHER....
