Software for Electronic MIDI drumset

hey...
i am buying some pads, and a trigger-to-midi interface soon to add on some cool eclectic sounds to my drumset. I want to run sampling software, which will be used live.

Also, for recording, how do i go about doing that?

I am getting a macbook pro 17" within the next month, so i will be using a mac, and i will be buying new software, so hopefully what i need is an intregrated into Logic or DP!!!
 
i also need the sampler to be able to work live.

If you are a drummer...think about Danny Carey's setup!


Live, I am going to be using the kit like an electric drumset, but with the computer as the brain
 
I've heard some very nice things done with FXpansion's BFD. You might check it out.
 
what about a plug in for nuendo called Battery 2 ?? its a vst instrument...
