Having a short wall on my studio, near where my console table is going to go, I was looking at it earlier while waiting for a home depot truck, that it would be very easy to build a subwoofer enclosure right in the wall, and have the woofer mounted facing forward, much like a soffit type construction, except the sub is in the wall. I can insulate and chaulk around and behind it, thats not a problem. I can use speaker software to design the box the right size, shape, ports etc, no problem.
Just curious what everyone thinks about this. Smart? Stupid? Somewhere in the middle?
Would save having a 15" down firing sub sitting on the floor.
Floor space is valuable
