Hi guys,

Like I told in the mixing forum a few days ago: I got the chance to interview John Mayall by phone!! He phoned me today for the interview: great experience.

He seemed to be a extremely friendly guy, and he sounded so full of energy, and not like some old blues guy. I was really nervous before the interview, and also during the interview I still was a litlle nervous interviewing such a big blues star that made some mistakes in my English :D.

Well I hoped he enjoyed the interview as well. It should have cost him though: he phoned from an American airport to Belgium with his mobile:). When I finished with all my questions, after about 20 minutes, I thanked him many times for the interview and after saying goodbye I hang up. I realized afterwards that I still could have kept going asking questions, because he didn't sound as if he was in a hurry, but I just was too shaken up to do that:).

Another nice experience in my live I gues:D

greets

Brett

wow thats pretty neat.

That sounds like a great experiance!

It reminds me of when I met Joe Satriani on the side of his trailer after his show. I wasnt supposed to be back there, but I looked over a fence by a tree into his trailer and saw him and Stu Hamm eating and I knocked on the window and they opened the window and I starting chatted with them... He gave me some picks and I also thought of a million questions after I left... :)

Cool BrettB.

I read a post earlier about you interviewing Remy Zero. They have an occult following here in the states. I was actually surprised to catch them on HBO's Reverb series. I didn't think they were that big.

Hi Evildick,

Remy Zero doesn't seem o break through here either. They did several supporting acts here in Europe, but that's about it. I mentionned them before to check if they were known in the states... but they don't really seem to be that big...

by the way J, I don't really like SAtriani, but as a fan it must be great to meet him that way!

I got picked up hitchhiking many years ago by the entire John Mayall blues band. Not only was it inspirational, bot it took me 8 hours to come down!-Richie

I can relate (I think all of us can). I'm not sure I'd have the presence of mind to think of any good questions if I were in that position. Mayall...whoa. Think of the guitarists who "apprenticed" in his band back in the 60's: Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Taylor. He's played with everybody. Just thinkin' about it...I'm wet...
