I realize your problems are many, but I didn't know you had problems reading. I apologize. See, this spot here is for problems/questions/news regarding Sonic Foundry software. Sonic Foundry is a software company that makes audio and video apps for Windows, which is an operating system made by Microsoft (you might have heard of them). The G5 is Apple's (Apple being a computer company) name for IBM's (another computer company) PowerPC 970 processor - the processor being the thing that makes your computer go whir.

To sum up, Sonic Foundry = software for Windows. G5 = processor for Apple. Do you see the problem here?

That said, it depends on what you mean by "cracked up to be." If you mean the ads from Apple, then no, not only is it not going to blast you through every wall of your house (which would really piss me off, but I must be the only one), it also isn't the fastest personal computer either. Is it fast?...yes. Does it put Apple 'back in the mix'?...yes. Is it priced within the realm of sanity for once?...yes. First 64-bit computer?...no. Faster than the fastest x86?...probably not. To really know how well it will perform, we'll actually need to see how these things run in the hands of users, as opposed to Apple's, whose "benchmarking" abilities are well documented.
