To tell them that I doubted the Message Boards were ever really coming back.

It's been a week and I've had no response.

I think I'll take that as an affirmation. :(

I e-mailed them the day it went down and they never sent me back a response either.

This shows that;

A - They don't have the manpower to respond to non-in warranty service concerns.

B - They feel that offering up a short non-descript statement on their site is sufficient to explain what's going on.

C - They don't know themselves when it is coming back because they do not directly run and manage the bbs.

D - They are out of touch with the past and current in warranty customers.

E - All of the above.

Cheers! :)

I emailed them too AND the webmaster awhile back as well...
Remember that Genesis song "No reply at all"?

:)

I e-mailed them Monday the 22nd, of course with no response. They can't respond to anyone? At this point Tascam has lost an enormous amount of loyalty and they apparently don't care.

"... there are some good things in store for www.tascam.com"

This shows that;

F - They are lying.

Hey, but check out their new machine, the SX-1LE. I guess thats a good thing.

I e-mailed them a few years back with a tech question about my CDRW 5000. It took about a week for the response.

Another time I phoned their tech dept. with a question about my TSR-8. I had to leave my number, but a guy called me back a couple of hours later. He was really nice and patiently walked me through my problem.

I emailed the support crew early last week and got a response later on that week.

They simply sent me automated email telling me to take my console to a service center. LOL

I also called them and couldn't believe that I could speak to someone. The guy was helpful and went out on a limb and told me to order something that "May" fix my problem.

They are still scaring me. Been with them for years now.

May have to change though.

Malcolm

Kind of sounds like they are downsizing.

Think about it, there have been a lot of new products out in the hard disk recorder market since the 788 came out in the $1000 to $2000 range that they simply haven't responded to.

ya know its starting to sound alot like Alesis a few years back.
