Looking into an M-Audio Delta 1010, its an older one. Any differences in the new one's since digidesign took over the company?

Probably not. It's a great product even without DD involved. Why spend money retooling the assembly line, when it's already a great product. I don't know for sure, mind you, but I'd be very surprised if they're any different.

the only thing i am curious about is the A/d converters, better maybe?

Digidesign didn't take over the company.
Avid did.
Nothing has changed with the existing hardware except implementing Pro Tools M-Powered.

getting pro tools was my main reason for getting the unit. How does the M-Powered version compare to LE?

Or should I just click on the forum link you have supplied above?

You're welcome anytime over at the Pro Tools forum.

M-Powered is almost identical to LE. It opens LE/TDM files and looks the exact same. There are only a few things that are not supported with M-Powered, but most of these are just add ons that you purchase separately. And probably nothing that you'll use. You can see the comparisons here.
