snycing HD24 to DP?

Why don't you just record your tracks to the hd24 and transfer them via the ethernet connection to the mac?

I tried it and it was to slow.

I just picked up an Adat 9pin cable and I plug that into the 828. The Adat remote also works with my sequencer.

Indeed it is slower, but the data integrity is also much better. I would not do it any other way myself.

My DAW system is a 700 MHz iMac system running DP3. I have 2 midi keyboards and 1 midi v-drum. That leaves me with about 32 audio free tracks on my iMac to play with. I have this HD24 and where does it fit in? I don’t want to sell it and plus that’s an extra 24 tracks of audio to work with. Shouldn’t it work like that if I sync it properly or am I missing something? I have the 24 outs into a mixer to listen to the tracks and the other midi instruments plugged into an 828 and I do a final mix on Peak. What do you think?
