I want to get one of these but I want to rack it and am unsure of how many spaces it takes? I only have 1 space left on my rack but if I need to I can upgrade to a 8 rack from a 4. I have a few things I can rack but haven't found the need to yet so I can definitely fill it in. Also how well do you guys like it?

I have two of these, and they are really great. Makes my work flow much easier. They are not rack mount units, and there is no way they will fit in one rack unit space.

The manual says that the come withrack ears, it looks to be 3 Us tall...

Do you know if it covers the whole width of a rack space or only part of it?

Covers the entire width of the rack as the rack ears extend that far. It is 8.6 cm in height so that works out to 2RU.

My bad. They do come with rack ears that you have to install if you want to rack mount them. And yes it's 2 rack units high.

I love this unit. One of the best investments for a small studio. I've been using one for over a year. No problems and the mono switch is fantastic for checking the mix in mono.
