Hey fellow tapeheads!
Was wondering if you could help me save my lazy hippie ass once again...
Thomann has run out of RMGI SM 911 and 900 1/2" tapes again and I got a recording job in late September. Anyone knows how a decent webshop in Europe who has them at the moment? NOS Quantegu 456 or BASF SM911 would be fine too.

Hope you can help me out here.

You might have to look at ATR tape. It's expensive, but it does seem to work pretty well on the MSR-24. I haven't yet reached tried it on the TSR-8, but I'd expect the same.

Thanks JP :) Good to know they work on semi pro decks and the G16 has a quite heavy transport. But yeah, they're massively expensive and I do like a bit of saturation on certain instruments which might be impossible to achieve on such high bias tapes.

Found a shop in Denmark that had a few SM900 left. Would like to try ATR but they're simply too expensive.
