Seems nice but I have difficulty listening to the quality of the mic after it beeing prcessed. Could you post the RAW track (No fx, no other instruments)? That would be pretty helpful.
The vox has the modern rock sound....very good. I would just work on the sonic balance of the mix and tell that bass player to come back from vacation .
Grrr...I want to lay down a bass track for that! I was so feeling that groove! Anyway...the detail is nice but as has been said already, the autotune kinda kills the "natural-ness" of the voice.
I used a sm-7 going into a great river then into a distressor with 6:1 fast attack release at 4 and then i use a lil autotune a lil waves compression and waves eq and some reverb thats pretty much it, for the chorus of the song tho i had 2 tracks and i brought them through a group channel in cubase sx and compressed the hell out of that channel seems pretty cool, ya btw finished the song with bass etc
I'm assuming you put the autotune on as an insert on the track, as opposed to going through and picking out/setting where you want it to turn on. By blippage.. I meant when the note kinda jumps from what it's supposed to be to a different note. That's a bit more than a "lil" autotune. In my opinion anyway.
Man it seems like a nice hot track. very addictive! But theyre right...NO BASS makes it weaker. And also those cymbals seem like theyre really THICK or CHEAP...so they make it sound a bit mushy...anyways try and get a dry track of those vocals!
