SL3 with Amplitube plugin

Iam thinking of purchasing the SL3 version instead of the SX3 version.
Can you use Amplitube plugin whith this version. Can you open this plugin from cubase SL3 or SX3 directly?
Anyone knows if you can upgrade online from SL3 to SX3 and how much does it cost?

in order to upgrade you must be registered (Which is a bugger for me as arbiter/steinberg haven't got in touch with me about my registration from months ago and I really want to upgrade to SL3). Anyway the upgrade costs £299. Together with the original purchase of SL3 it is cheaper to buy the full SX3 straght away (i think)
