Hi NoShame, do you have a link to that
Steinberg forum, I was unable to find it. Hopefully it's up soon. Thanks for the advice. I'm more than new to it, as I've only seen it in action but have never sat with it. I'm still trying to figure out of I'll use those extra features.
XStatic said "It doesn't cost any more in the end than buying SX outright, but you just might save yourself 50% if you do just need SL." I definitely agree. I'm wondering since I'll have the cash in a week, if I should just go gung ho, but like you mentioned, I may not even need all the extra sour cream and chives and find out that I spent more than I should have.
I would like to be a bit of a power user myself. I've been a mixer/workstation recorder for years and am now getting into the PC gear side of things. See, I'm actually coming into about 2 G's next week and that should be enough to get a pretty good home setup, I think. However, I still need at least 2 good condensors, 2 preamps for the condensors, an interface (probably M-Audio pre usb), monitors and the software.
Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated!
