Hey,
Haven't posted in a while and would love some feedback/criticism on some of my more recent stuff. So give it a listen if you have some free time. I welcome feedback on any of the 3.
... I didn't really know what to call it, never been much of a fan of genres.
Thanks.

Listened to "Be True" ....

Cool distortion on the vocals......like an old Doors sound and at the same time a modern sound I've heard (but who? oh well)....

Very cool background vocals - you're gonna be the envy of a lot of people here... ;)

Great song overall, catchy, rockin', groovin', well worth the listen.....

    :D :D :D :D

Great groove to this! Love the sounds you have going here... definitely a cool psychedelic feel.
I love the vocal interaction, my only nitpick is that the vocals are either too low in the mix or hard to understand. On my system anyway, the vox sound kind of cluttered with the instruments when things pick up, sound like they need some more separation.
Otherwise sounds groovy to me

Thank you both!
yeah, I didn't really like the final vocal performance (he sounded kind of bored) so I did what I could to try to work with what I had.
I'd love to hear what you guys think of "Love in the movies", which has a slightly different vibe to it.

KILLERS - Mr Brightside - I think that's the name of the tune that sounds "similar" vocal-wise with the effects. It's not exactly the same but has a bit of the distorted sounds on them also.....

Hmmm... that's not exactly what we were going for, but I'll give both songs another listen with that in mind. Thanks for listening!
Also, try downloading the songs, not streaming them, they sound a whole lot better that way.

I changed the first song that plays to "Love in The Movies", give it a listen and let me know what you think.
love,
Bidi.

i just listened to love in the movies and the only thing i have to comment is that the cocals are way to much in the background. 3 dB more wouldn't hurt. grrrrrrrrrrreat stuff!!!

apart from the vocals that, indeed, are not loud enough it's just perfect. you catch the vibe/groove/feel just right.
i'm shaking!

As a psychedelic artist and low-vocal-mixer myself, I can say I'm really into it.

The volume of the vocals was a stylistic choice, but I have considered raising it slightly or adding more compression. Thank you all for the feedback, feel free to give any one of the other 4 songs a listen. ;)

I think we are going back and re-recording all of them (along with new material) for an album in 1 day as a live in the studio session. Any overall comments or suggestions for the process would be much appreciated.

additional information about gear and what not is available if you guys are interested.
Love,
Bidi.
