Sirius Channel Faction 28: Need help w/ recording techniques
For those who do not know, Sirius Satellite has a great hip hop / punk / hard rock channel called Radio Faction 28. They have a program on Sunday nights called DIY: Do It Yourself . Listeners can submit a playlist, if selected they get an hour to do their own thing.
I was selected, that's the good news. I need to submit a cd w/ the music, my voice and sweepers. That's the bad news for me, because I have never done it. Basically I am past round 1, but I need to get thru round 2.
I have mp3s, cds and I need a microphone. But how do I put it together cleanly, so I don't sound like a DA? I don't need to be radio pro perfect, but I want to give them something that will get their attention and lead to my own hour!
This station is so great. They mix styles of music in a way you would NEVER hear on regular radio. Music means a lot to me, but I have never put it together. I am so excited to do it. Please help me if you can!
Thanks, Rhiannon07

Seriously, if you've never done it before, and want to make a good impression, don't do it yourself.
