M-Audio DMP3

Hi,

Get an M-Audio DMP3 or DMP2. The line outs from these will go into your line in of your sound card with the appropriate weird cable. ( two 1/4" mono to one 1/8" stereo)

These have 1/4" in and XLR in. Supply phantom power for condensor mics. I use my DMP2s into the line in on my iRiver. Same as a sound card.

The DMP preamps will make your mics sound better. They work great with the MSH series omnis providing phantom power and plenty of gain. They also really add clarity to dynamic mics like the SM57.

Thanks,

Hairy Larry

I have the MSH1 and the SM57. I prefer the 57 on guitar amps. Also very good for vocals, depending on the singer. The MSH is better on acoustic instruments and drum overheads. YMMV.
