First of all, how do the Shure Prologue series mics compare to the SM57 and 58. I was given a couple of them (Prologues) and they're in perfect condition and I was just curious of their good and not so good qualities. Please fill me in if you happen to know.
Secondly, obviously they have a balanced XLR plug, therefore, they need a low to high impedance transformer to connect to my computers soundcard. I read that even though they use a single audio channel, the ending plug (1/4 in.) is a stereo plug. Should the audio cable I purchase be mono or stereo?
