I have never used the 44, (only the KSM32 which is quite good) but if it works and is in good cosmetic condition it is a no brainer. This mic sells for about a grand new, so even if you don't like it you can sell it for a profit. And chances are you will like it.
But as Tom pointed out make sure that it works. You probably won't get to try it in the pawn shop though for you will need a PA or preamp/interface with phantom power.
Ask the pawn shop about their policy of returns.
it's probably fair condition...probably been abused or neglected...but who isn't? LOL it doesn't have a spyder mount however. But that's no deal breaker right? I can still use my other ones they should screw in just fine? How come I never see a Shure KSM9 for sale on ebay..I meant for cheap. Must be a keeper.
arcaxis, wish I had read this before I bought it. It's all good though...got a decent deal (240 out the door). You're right the standard shockmount doesn't fit this. Weird though.
