Saw a good deal at Pawnshop...wondering if it's worth 250 bux. Anyone used this before? Any feedback?

I have never used the 44, (only the KSM32 which is quite good) but if it works and is in good cosmetic condition it is a no brainer. This mic sells for about a grand new, so even if you don't like it you can sell it for a profit. And chances are you will like it.

Yeah!!! Dang straight it's a good microphone!!!

But as Tom pointed out make sure that it works. You probably won't get to try it in the pawn shop though for you will need a PA or preamp/interface with phantom power.
Ask the pawn shop about their policy of returns.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to omtayslick again.

Somebody hit Tom for me.

it's probably fair condition...probably been abused or neglected...but who isn't? LOL it doesn't have a spyder mount however. But that's no deal breaker right? I can still use my other ones they should screw in just fine? How come I never see a Shure KSM9 for sale on ebay..I meant for cheap. Must be a keeper.

arcaxis, wish I had read this before I bought it. It's all good though...got a decent deal (240 out the door). You're right the standard shockmount doesn't fit this. Weird though.

There are numerous universal shockmounts available. Such as this one:
:: SABRA-SOM ::

I have 2 of them and they work ok. There are probably others available too.
