ok here is my background. there was an unused studio space at my church and i got the keys and permission to use the room and everything so now i have a decent studio room. ive been snooping around my church and finding old gear they never use. mostly "broken" rackmount gear and such. so yesterday im looking through one of the soundrooms and found an old shure bg 5.1. does anybody know what this mics best qualities are? it seems to have a very distint eq curve. i wanna try it on guitar amp sometime to see if it gives it some interesting color... oh yeah i did find out its a condenser. its deffinatly not as sensitive as either of my other condensers. can anyone else who owns one of these give me a tip on what they sound good on? also i picked up a peavy PVM 325 for $29 just because it was so cheap. any reviews on that? im thinking it would be good on drums odviously and maybe guitar amp.
