Shure Beta 57A?

Hi, I'm an amateur in the microphone and recording industry, but I was hoping to buy a Shure 57A beta. My questions are: how well would the mic do with an acoustic, grand piano? How well would the mic record strings (higher-pitched instruments, like vioilns and violas)?

Ive seen wonderful results with an AT3035...which is arround $50 used.
