Shure Beta 52

Hey, Im just wondering anyone ever used the Shure Beta 52 bass drum mic?, Seems pretty good for the price, and from what i heard. Anyone got any views on it?

I like mine.....

Good overall sound, pretty hyped in the low end, great click sound on a drum with a hole or no front head.

After about a dozen years of trying different kick mics, I started using the Beta52 and it is now my favorite. Great for kick drums and electric bass amps. As is the case with any mic, I do not use it 100%, but it is alwasy my first choice for kick drum. A great mic.

I've never really cared too much for the Shure Beta52... but, I still have one in the studio for those who do like it.
