Shred!

Thought it sounded good! 4 years, awesome, I would have thought longer! I know what they are saying about the computer sound, I prefer a much more high sustain natural sound, but hey, you were using someone elses stuff. I though the playing was great nonetheless!

The other tracks on your site sound like real guitar. OK, assuming that this one is real guitar playing, you can understand why someone listening would think it's a MIDI file. It sounds just like that. If it's really a guitar it was so heavily processed that every expressive guitaristic characteristic was removed, and if that's the case I'd avoid that method of recording in the future.

Yea like I said it was my friends recording gear. Anyways maybe I did cheat a little. I didn't want to say exactly what we did but...I divided the solo in like 8 parts so I could play really fast without screwing up :p

Nobody's attacking you for no reason. You made a raging ass of yourself with all the heavy metal polls in the guitar/bass forum. You've been a prick to just about everybody around here. You neg repped me and alot of other people for no reason. Everybody has a poor opinion of you already. Deal with it.

This track you're pushing here is obviously not "real". Even what you're claiming you did doesn't make much sense to me. I've never heard a guitar player create notes with that sort of perfect sustain with absolutely no vibrato and totally abrupt endings. It just sounds ridiculous. Maybe you are a good player, but don't try to pass something like that off.
Listening to the other examples makes it even more obvious that this is not the way you normally play.

So you see, nobody's attacking you for no reason. :rolleyes:
 
Idiot claims he's being attacked for no reason...Meanwhile it took him 2 pages to admit he "cheated"..At this point, even his "admission" holds no credibility...Maybe when this thread reaches page 3, we'll actually learn the truth about his bullshit.

Hey..MYhatBroke..........Your Shredder song sounds like it was done on a keyboard then speeded up and maybe some shift pitch software used, but you can do anything with enough stuff and the guitar. It does have some shred type finger work which sounds standard for that type of exercise.

The other songs at purevolume.com are nice stuff.....did you play them too?
Burn and Rumble solo are the ones I am talking about.

Learning is what this place is all about. We all share our good and bad times with each other. It’s not always smooth sailing and at times we all can get in each others face. From what I am reading here it looks like your acquiring some bad rap. That is very easy to do, but not so easy to UNDUE. Better walk a little easier, for down the line we all will still be here raising hell with each other, and you just might want to be an accepted part of it. Your choice.

I haven't listened to it yet (I'm at work) but will give it a try when I get home. But if by "cheating" he means he cobbled together the best of several takes, I wouldn't exactly call it cheating.
 
but why would you even WANT to pass off midi as guitar? Theyre two entirely different applications....
