Yes

I haven't even BEGUN to insult your intelligence, mate, but it has to show up for the fight first :)

FWIW, I was not insulting your intelligence, merely questioning what someone else found witty.

Lasagne, i know you were insulting him, and I was calling myself defending him because i just saw the movie Transformers, so it seemed the right thing to do. And never shall any parts of me or my psyche show up for fighting, i am a lover and quite sensitive. I just want to get along is all.

Thanks and have a great night!

Oh yes, i have many questions. Thanks again for your insight. So, i just bought this drum machine friday, with the trading in of my other guitar, the total came up to 155, including the useless live wire cable that fits into nothing but the drum machine itself.
Tell me, can i apply that chedder elsewhere? Perhaps you can tell me what exactly i should buy instead. Because i hate guitar center's staff, they only help folks like ...no offense but folks like you, who know exactly what they need and want.

I partially no what i want but because i do not have time and money to spend on learning what i need ...blah blah nevermind, bottom line, 155 dollars for the most basic of home recording should include??...........

what do you have now and what do you plan to do?

What i want

To record my songs. My voice, guitar, drums and/or keyboard. After i record them, i will put them on a cd, put them on my website perhaps if/when i get a website, and play my songs live in front of a studio/open mic/club pub /venue.

Nothing fancy.

thanks for asking.

And you have no time to invest in learning this?

minimum you'll need a set of speakers for mixing, a computer that runs well, a sound card, a mic preamp, a mic, mic stand, all necessary cables, and software. sounds like you have a lot of reading to do. $150 won't get you much.

ok.....if the boss dr-3 is like any other boss drum machine you must first create patterns, in pattern mode...then once you get all the patterns together to create a song for an example you create a pattern for the verses then you create a pattern for the chorus then you go into song mode then put those pattern together. now if you have the manual find the section on creating patterns then once you understand the concept then go on to creating a song. you have to do that in that order or you'll never get it. but let me say this....at $155.00, and saying you dont have the time and money to invest in this....you are better off just selling what you have and just listen to music.
