yo, Giganova

when they say age i think they are talking about the oxidation of the wires. you ever had that nice coax cable jerry rigged to your cable box, with the shiny copper and aluminum wires, after about a couple of months you noticed that the picture started to mess up and those wires were now tarnished? that is just my guess on what they mean. i think the more expensive cable have better shielding and construction. unless your midi cables are fibre, it should apply to those also if they are not assymbled with quality materials. again it's just my guess. blue bear or someone will be along shortly to correct or add to my thoughts.

jungalo, the most effective vocal color from a singer is when they are
emotionally in tune with the material they're singing.
An excellent method is to have the singer create a mental staging of the
song in their mind and "share" that visualization with the microphone,
as if it were the ears of an audience., and perform accordingly.
The gear element is only an enhancement, not a substitute for this.

The singer or instrumentalist who accomplishes this will sound better
through HOSA cables than the one who doesn't that uses Kiwi's. :)

Sorry jugalo, calling you JUNGalo must have been a Freudian slip!
