Alright so i'm a hip hop/rock/electronic artist & I made about 3 or 4 songs and posted them on youtube. They got a decent amount of views, and im planning on making an album. Should I keep releasing songs on youtube that are going to be in the album or should I stop releasing them and just finish the album?

Nope. (well, maybe)

I believe you should point people to your website or CDbaby or some other place they can buy your songs. Give them a tease on youtube, then point them to where they can buy them.

If that doesn't work out, then you can go back to youtube.

just my opinion.

Up to you man, but you can grow a major fan base with YouTube if you do it right. Just look at people like Tyler Ward and Boyce Avenue. Things to think about...

I feel like a constant flow of music is really important...one of my main things is to try and put out at least (at an absolute minimum) one new track per month...sometimes one per week.

doing so will definitely show that you are putting in work, that you are dedicated, and that you are an avid musician.

Im doing something called fan ladders. Anyone know what im talking about?

I'm with you on that! A constant flow of music does help, but when you're still unpopular after like 20+ songs, what good will it do to have a constant flow of music then?
