...while tracking???

I usually end up cutting everything below 60hz anyway, and the high-pass button is just sitting there looking at me like a hungry dog while I'm eating chicken. Should I just press it already, or should I wait, just in case???

60 is too high for me, but whatever makes the mix work is fine.

If you have hungry buttons eyeing you, you have much bigger problems, my friend.

I'm not denying I have bigger problems, believe me you don't know the half of it. I'm just trying to figure out one problem at a time.

Hey, Rami, we were talking today about your KIK!
It has a lot of energy in "50 HZ" , that provides a great "sub" frequencie (so far from "boominess" at least on "fall Apart" track, as I said you...)
If you recorded that kik without any Lo cut, I suggest you still with the same rule, that works!

(I remember you said hi pass at 100 the bass guitar).
Then, your "relationship" with "subworld" is that sub on KIK

And stay away from the buttons!!!! :D

Thanx CIRO...I guess I shouldn't mess with something that works for me, but I'm always trying to improve my sound, so sometimes I might over-analise. You're right though...and if I did want to high-pass it, I could always do it after tracking. Thanx bro. good advice.

yea, he's correct, lots of important kik stuff goes on at about 50.

+1. You'll be cutting that 'boominess' that makes the kick sound natural. Too much definition sounds is only good in death metal IMO.

Thanx guys...Yes, I never cut it before, and did an experiment after posting. Definitely don't want to get rid of that meat.
