I know that shooting music videos in 3D hasn't really hit the mainstream yet (however I will be very surprised if it doesn't in the next 2-5 years), but has anyone considered shooting their music videos in 3D? I'm not sure if that would be worth the effort at this point, but it is certainly an interesting thought. And there are a few ways to shoot 3D videos without blowing a ton of money. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Just kidding :p

You know, personally, I just dont get 3d. I don't really see it working it's way into the mainstream tv market the way that HD has.
The glasses are kind of annoying, and plenty of people who wear glasses would feel awkward trying to put more glasses on :o
It's a cool feature but seems a little pointless to me, though, I did come very close to buying a 3DS (Zelda+ 3D with no glasses?!?!) :D

I think at this point, people are just coming to term with the idea that they can do their own music videos. It's quite a daunting task to turn on the camera and ask, "what next?" But yeah, once mainstream media wraps around the idea, it won't be long before we start seeing home-brewed 3D videos popping up. Guarantee I won't be the one of the forerunners; the wife let me me buy another camera. lol.

We need 3D youtube vids like we need more screamo bands or rap "artists".

Nobody buys music videos, and 3D is way more expensive to shoot. Where's the market for it except as an "artistic" thing?

Jonas brothers in concert in 3D sold quite nicely, as did Justin bieber in 3D and Hannah Montana in 3D. It only makes sense that music videos would be next.

Ah but they already are. Check out YouTube, they have budget how to videos. I even recorded my cat walking around in 3D, it was pretty sweet.

When they perfect 3D without glasses is when I will give a crap about 3D. I liked it when I was a kid - now it just sucks.

There's a new cell phone about to drop that has a 3D HD camera and plays back the video in 3D without glasses.

HTC EVO 3D

Its gonna be crazy once that hits the mainstream.

yeah i agree...with the 3d glasses makes it less appealing. its bad enough in the movie theaters, but to be at home with those on...smh
