Ok warning. I am at a crazy, excentric, camp, hilarious french veterenerians house!

He has a little out of tune piano, a whistle recorder, and a hard wooden floor / combine this with a bottle of real good champagne during lunch and the day was definately an entertaining one!

This is the result. Fancy a laugh, Headphones adviced!

number 27. Still writing and recording as at comes for the challenge!

erland, fess up, you are a bastard child of john lennon.

only you could turn a piano like that into something that i could listen to for three minutes.

that ending rules! i love it.

no, no, no... not at all... I dig the song. But married life has been a little more... uh.... "occupying" than I expected. I haven't had time to record anything up until just this week. I will definitely be getting to that song soon, though.

now, go enjoy your smelly french cheese. :D

WATYF

You should do this more often, Erland.

Funny and great.

Did someone say Beatles? I believe someone did. Does it matter?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

LOL :D

Don't ever record this stuff in a professional studio with a real band (or strings  ).......it's perfect as it is. Honest and pure. And lovely.

Just slam it on a disc...I'll pre-order it right here right now. :D

lol... Erland U SO CRAAAAZY ;)

It's a hoe-down... detuned, bucktoothed, and sweatin' whiskey :p

Nice breakdown BTW...

Standup bass??!? So'ethin' low & smooth there on the right...

Oh my ... what have you eaten ?

There is some kind of vocal buried in the beginning, could be bleed from another channel ?

Oh, it's the 'ladies and gentlemen I give you ... blah, blah' , but it's so faint.

Clearly a testament to the understandability of your diction and pronunciation ...

I think some crazy ass almost out of tune violin would be cool here. Sort of the drunk fiddler effect.

I like the tempo change at 1:11 ...

eww, you brought it to a halt, nice writing.

oh hell, this stuff up to 1:33 is awesomely musical.

pennywhistle bloke ! where's the damn tuba then ...

ooom paaa, ooom paaa, but you left that in Austria ... yes ...

Very beatle-esque.

God, those harmony vocals in the end are just ... totally ... wow ...

It's a grand show ... and I think the 'ladies and gents' intro thing should be put in strongly ...

It's a grand show 'tis mate !

nice stuff....very beatles sounding, i have to agree on that........that piano really makes it

:D

This is too good....really bad piano just sounds so good....
The one thing that gets me going more than anything else is the quality of the writing...top notch and well planned out...
the outro levels jumped up a little too fast but nice touches throughout man....real lo-fi good stuff...

Joe :D

WATYF. Well thanks man.

Hi Pedullist, thanks alot. It was a real blast making and I think you can tell. I will hold you to that and send one when I get home and sorted out. Will be great fun. Thanks again.

participant. LOL. great stuff cheers. When you listen in headphones you can really hear all the thumps on the piano. Good laugh to make this one. Thanks again.

studioviols. I rechon with headphones its pretty clear but then I held my noise when I shouted that and I had drunk some what. Crazy fiddle would be great. Lol. thanks alot for that mate. We all stomped on the floor and clapped our hands for this and that was great fun. I had to make a really loud end!

crawdad. Groovy

powderfinger. Yup that was the theme. Crazy piano though.

joro. Hi Joe. Thats such a good compliment, thankyou so much. Made my day.

Thanks a lot for listening guys.

Three Ring Circus

When you go to the circus, and you are way, way up in the bleachers.

As the little man in the center ring, the master of ceremonies is announcing ... 'Ladies and Gentlemen' ...

remember how when he turns around, his voice fades, and then it comes back in.

circumaural panning and volume enveloping, and I think you can get a 'leslie' effect which is a lot like this.

That would be a very effective mixing technique for the intro. You could make it much louder this way, because it would be fading in and out.

Put a deep hall reverb, and even some echo on it, lot's of .25 to .5 second delay, even a slapback delay.

Then the closeness and the intamacy of the piano ... really has tremendous contrast when it comes in. You can really, draw us in with that effect.

even some heels clicking on the floor and more hand claps would fit this festive bar scene. :)

This is great!

Guess you could fart into a Kazoo and sell a million copies.

:D

I really don't know what to say 'cept U da man!

;)
