Shittiest mic over $1000?

Telefunken M-16 Mark I. It's pretty well established that it's the exact same mic made in the exact same factory as the Apex 460/Nady TCM-1150 which is a $200-250 mic.
I know you weren't necessarily looking for a literal answer, but just think of the poor suckers who bought the Telefunken branded ones!

nah I used one for a hammer the other day

if somebody sold a behr........ for over a grand then the answer would be obvious
 
Close to 1k. The TLM 103. Pretty much can be beat by most 200.00 chinese condensors, IMO.
 
Fortunately, I can say that I have absolutely no knowledge of any mic. over $1000. I don't think I've ever been within 50 feet of one. :eek:

Me too. I don't think an expensive mic is going to bump up my talent any way. :p
 
the people saying the u87 have probably never used one and are listening to forum hype.
 
getting a bunch of neumann comments. i guess i'll have to spend my savings on a couple of hundered mxl's. :p
