So, it took you a month to come up with She-Wolf lyrics. :D

It's almost like doing a cover song

That's an interesting answer.

You might as well be a noob in here. I've written far more offensive stuff than this. :D

Yeah, I guess so. The last time I was in here, it was a whole different cast of characters.

Lol. Right? No, not really. It took almost a month before I was "inspired" enough to write something down. I truly hate writing lyrics. It's a chore. Banging my drums and ripping powerchords are fun for me. Lyrics are not. I've always dreamed of having a surfin 60's guitar band with no singer or lyrics. Contrary to what you actually think, I'm totally a happy-go-lucky guy. I have no problems, vices, or issues to write about. Anyway, I had the title for a while. My kid said she wanted to be a she-wolf for halloween. I thought to myself, that would be a good song title for a simple rocker about an evil woman. :p

perfect! I was wondering how you 'splained the lyrics to mrs. gerg. (Mrs. _L?)

Nice one!

Oh so this isn't a Shakira cover...haha. Good job, sounds very tight. What mics do you use for drums?

Happy-go-lucky is a synonym for gay. No problems issues or vices to write about? What kind of punk thrashcore rocker are you, the middle class poser kind? lol. You should bail this genre now and start writing show tunes, you know, to stay true to yourself. :D

Maybe you should write punk tunes about dinner at 6, weekends with the family, mowing the lawn, picking up the kids from school, and going to PTA meetings. :D

I'm the kind of punk thrashcore rocker that kind of grew up. The kind that pisses out more rock and roll than your faggot politico-blog reading midget ass could muster in a lifetime. ;)

Yeah, 2,3 weeks ago Shakira came out with a new song called She Wolf. I thought maybe you did a rock cover of it or something.
Why don't you used an sm 57 or a D6 etc. for the drums? Does the CAD do fine?

liked your other covers too, tad bit lagging on evh tho, other than that pretty awesome!:D

I use a 57 on my snare. A D6 is awesome. I just haven't bought one. I'm fine with my cheapos for now.

Lol. That's an oldie. I just did the drums and vocals on that one.

Lol. For real. I'd never try an EVH tune on guitar. I just did the drums and vocals.

Most of that stuff way in the back is sucky and old. It's almost embarrassing how bad some of those recordings are. I keep em in there sort of as a timeline to gauge my progress.

there's no prob trying an evh tune on the guitar, it is as hard as it looks, and it isn't at the same time, but if drums & vocals are more your thing that's cool too:D i was at a concert once where the drummer was so good it made me cry

i don't think the stuff in the way back is sucky, you even have the clash & tom petty back there, how could you say that!? your original stuff is awesome too, and in shewolf i immediately recognized parts of ghost riders but in its own awesome way

and also i was wondering where some or all of your recordings, like pipeline were recorded? to me it didn't seem in entirety straight from a room in a house, but could be wrong, thanks

I don't think those songs are sucky, just my old recordings are sucky. I have a bunch of originals that I took off of there for a CD coming out soon.

Everything was recorded here at my house. The equipment has changed over the years. I'm particularly fond of surf guitar music. I need to do more of that kind of stuff.

the old recordings aren't sucky i've been listening to pipeline over & over, not sucky. what songs are going to be on the cd?

i was thinking i could only reproduce some of those sounds somewhere else otherwise it being totally ruined, but guess not? i like alot of that music too, aside from my dad/family always playing it, one of my favorite bands midnight oil has alot of that in it, some of what i thought i might like to record if ever someday i thought would be destroyed by recording limitations, but yours sound pretty good, so thanks

Don't let recording limittations hold you back. My gear is very modest. It doesn't stop me from trying to rock the fuck out.

Sounded great to me, no nits with the mix or the preformance.
I never listen to lyrics myself, as long as they fit rythmically and tonaly I think it works out great.
It does here, IMO.

If I`m not mistaken this was the way Ian Gillan and Roger Glover used to write Purples lyrics, It just had to sound good.
