I now have one dedicated parametric eq channel that I would like to set up strictly to de-ess my vocals. It's 4 bands. How would I set this up using the side chain of my compressor? Do I turn all the amplitude of the 3 bands before the high frequency all the way down, or just keep them at zero? Also, what frequency should I focus on and how wide should I have the bandwith set to. Where should the master gain be at? The reason I'm asking is I fried the other channel of my equalizer trying to set this up right. Like I said, I would like to set it and forget it as this will really be the only function for this eq, and I'm trying to stay out of the computer. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
