this is for anyone who knows about live shows and whatnot

I want to get 2 - 2x12s, mainly so i can set them on different sides of the stage, when i play distortion it will come out equal, but when i turn on sum stereo chorus and other paninng affects, i want it ti sound really thick with rotary efx,

is this a good idea or will it cause problems that im not even realizing?

if you know anything about this PLEASE help me out,

would there be a left and right speaker on each side of the stage or one side left one side right.

Alot of people don't like the sound to be stereo when playing live because if your on the left side of the stage you won't be able to hear the instruments/effects panned to the right much.
hope that helped some

IF YOUR STANIDNG ON THE RIGHT SIDE YOUR ONLY GONNA HEAR THE RIGHT SPEAKER

yeah i was thinking the same thing to, what if i just had the speakers like 10 feet apart? is this the best way to get THICK stereo sounds,

it depends on how big the stage was. It would probably work better if you put them side by side miced a speaker from each and let the sound man decide.

but if you aren't micing or have a soundman and want the stereo seperation than 5 - 10 feet apart would probably be best.

5-10 ft apart

do you think this would even be noticable or worth doing or should i just invest in one 4x12.

i want certain pedals to sound "trippy" (i hate that word)

i would probably go with the 2x12's that way you could try it, and if it didn't work combine it to make a 4x12 also you could set them side by side and split up your signal and have one have one signal chain (i.e. cab 1 guitar - dis- chorus cab 2 guitar - dis - flange - phase - delay) or somethin like that so you have the same guitar part w/ 2 dif. effect sets.
