I have Acid Style (came with a piece of hardware) and I wanted to check Acid out. But I can't seem to set the output devices. In the help file, it showed a little box to the left of the mute and solo buttons, but Acid Style has no such little box?? I have a Tango and Dakota system, and have lots of outputs in Cakewalk, but none in Acid.....Appreciate any help available... Thanks

Well, this came with Sonic Forge XP 4.5, and there, in the options tab, are all of my audio input and output devices... but nada in Acid.... I not only looked in help, but in every tab.... (I think)... hard to know what to think if you can't hear it!!!

Options -> Preferences -> Audio -> Advanced

Also, when you click Record you get a dialog box that has a list of audio devices to record from.

Perhaps it is the version of Acid Style.... in preferences, the only tab I have is "general" and there is nothing about selecting audio devices.... similarly, when I click record, I can "monitor" or not, via a check box, but nothing about what audio devices to use. I suspect this is the limit of this program.... the curious part to me, would be how one is supposed to evaluate the program if you can't hear it.

Yeah, sometimes making music will make you nuts. The answer to my question... via, sonic foundry help, is Acid style uses the default output device. The computer came with a soundblaster... I forgot I had it and never used it, once I change the default to my Dakota... bingo!
