ok...here is the plan ... im gonna have a yamaha djx keyboard and sm58 mic , into a small 2 channel mixer/pre amp ( with direct XLR plugs if i run into some money.... if not ..im assuming i need an impedance matching transformer to match the impedance and to convert it to 1/4 inch )then... into the line in of my computer... and then ill use power tracks pro to edit tracks and mix down.... am i missing anything ? any suggestions on equipment ?
also... the back of my computer doesnt have typical rca line in jacks.. it has a smaller (sorta 1/8 inch) looking hole.. it has a lil musical note symbol next to it and its located next to the microphone jack.... if thats the right port.. what cables do i need to connect rca's ? its the soundcard that came with the puter... is it possible that its just so cheap that it doesnt have line inputs ?
