If this allready has been asked, I'm sorry, but at least I couldn't find answer.

So I'm using cubase SX, and I usually record drums to midi track using v-drums(electric), but I'd like to separate this one midi-track that includes all the drums to different midi-tracks so that one trac would include only snare, on bassdrum, and so on..
(My drum module has only stereo out, not separate outs to every drum)

This way I could record all drums (snare, toms) to different tracks and tweak then afterwards.

So is there an easy way to do this (logical editor maybe? I haven't manage do it using that though), of course I can copy and paste every "line" of the midi track, but it's a bit slow thing to do...

The stereo outs dont matter, because they deal with audio and not midi. One midi connection can send 16 separate channels. I would think that you should be able to assign on your VDrum box the channel and note that each drum corresponds to.

For example, set each pad to go to a different midi channel, then create different midi tracks in cubase set to the corresponding midi channels and record all at once.

Yes, I hadn't though of that, that could be one way to do it.. thanks!

But if this doesn't work, I guess I just have to keep on copying and pasting one "line" at a time..

Thanks TimOBrien, that sounds just like the solution I was looking for! I'll download it and give it a try...

And MILLSY5, if you asked me? if I was Gianni, I'll have to say no.. I Don't know anyone Gianni..
