I've got a Behringer UB1222FX-PRO http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=rec/search/detail/base_pid/631229/
I'm using Cakewalk Homestudio 2.0XL going through an M-Audio Delta 410 all 8 outs running to each channel on the board. I also have an Alesis 3630, Alesis Microverb and a smaller (non-rackmount) stereo BBE (the kind with RCA i/o)and a Pioneer component cd burner. I'm working on getting an A/D converter, but that's later.
I'm exploring my options on hooking this up. Hopefully, very soon I'm going to be adding a pair of Monitors, looking at Roland DS50As atm.
Currently, I've just been using the main outs to the rack stuff/bbe and on to the burner, which has yielded half-decent results, but I'd like to try a few different things before I decide on a final setup. I'm thinking with the addition of monitors that I'd run the monitors out of the main outs, and using the aux returns for the Microverb and the compressor (not that I want to compress every channel) but correct me if I'm wrong, this would allow fine tuning of the effects per channel as opposed to having the exact same ammount of say, reverb, across the whole mix. Since there is two sets of two aux returns and 1 FX out and 1 Mon. out, and the microverb and compressor have dual ins/outs what would be the best way to set that up?
Also, would it be wise to use the CD/Tape out to the BBE to the burner for mixdown? More equipment is down the road a bit, but definatly in the plans, just trying to utilize what I have in the mean time. Thanks in advance.
